Support Fireside Chat

We are committed to providing access to resources, services, and support to help our members navigate the challenges created by their time in service 4. Inclusivity: We welcome service individuals from all backgrounds, careers, and experience levels, and strive to create a space where everyone feels valued and respected.

Why Your Support Matters

Fireside Chat exists to make it easier for first responders to have honest conversations about mental health—openly, safely, and without judgment.

When people can talk earlier, they are less likely to carry stress, trauma, or burnout alone. Your support helps keep this platform available, stable, and ready when someone needs it most.

Contributions help us:

  • Maintain and improve our platform, tools, and technical infrastructure
  • Fund programs, outreach, and community-based mental health initiatives
  • Cover essential operational costs that keep Fireside Chat running reliably
  • Expand access so more first responders can find support when they need it
  • Every contribution—large or small—makes a measurable difference.

Ways to Support Fireside Chat

Financial Contributions

One-time or recurring donations provide the financial stability needed to support long-term impact. Recurring contributions are especially valuable, allowing us to plan responsibly and maintain consistent availability for the community we serve.

Make a Donation

Organizations, departments, unions, and mission-aligned partners can support Fireside Chat through sponsorships or partnerships. These relationships help expand reach while staying aligned with the platform’s purpose and values.

Support doesn’t always mean donating. Sharing Fireside Chat with colleagues, peers, and organizations helps more first responders discover a space built for honest mental health conversations.

Help Build the Community Behind Fireside Chat

Volunteers play an important role in keeping Fireside Chat active, welcoming, and sustainable. You do not need to be a clinician to help—most volunteer roles are operational, organizational, or community-focused.

Volunteer Opportunities

Depending on your interests and availability, you may help with:

  • Outreach & partnerships – connecting with departments, unions, peer teams, and local organizations
  • Resource support – helping identify, organize, and update mental health resources
  • Community support operations – helping maintain a respectful, organized, and welcoming environment
  • Content support – assisting with stories, education, and awareness initiatives
  • Tech & administrative support – basic site updates, content posting, or operational assistance

Time Expectations

Most volunteers contribute 1–2 hours per week. Some roles are flexible and can be completed in short bursts as schedules allow.

Volunteer Values

  • We protect the purpose of this space. All volunteers are expected to lead with:
  • Respect
  • Confidentiality
  • Non-judgment
  • A commitment to keeping conversations safe

Not everyone can donate or volunteer—and that’s okay.
